Dr. Marjorie Hill is a seasoned non-profit executive with extensive expertise in health management, diversity and inclusion, and HIV/AIDS. A Dr. Hill’s portfolio of consultant services includes non-profit agency sustainability, Board engagement, conflict resolution, and executive coaching. In response to the growing mental health challenges of the COVID 19 pandemic, Dr. Hill returned to private practice in 2021.
Dr. Hill formerly served as CEO at the Joseph Addabbo Family Health Center, a six-site Federally Qualified Heath Center that provides comprehensive health services to the poor and medically underserved. Dr. Hill served as the longest tenured CEO at Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC,) the oldest AIDS service provider in the world. Dr. Hill has held a myriad of leadership positions in public health, including Director of the NYC Mayor’s Office for the Lesbian & Gay Community (Mayor David Dinkins,) Commissioner/Vice Chair, NYS Workers’ Compensation Board (Governor Mario Cuomo,) and Assistant Commissioner for HIV/AIDS (Mayor Michael Bloomberg,) where she managed a $400M portfolio of Prevention, Ryan White, Housing and support services.
Committed to public service, Dr. Hill has served on numerous boards and advisory entities. She serves as Chair of the NYS AIDS Advisory Council and is Co-Chair of the Ending the Epidemic Committee. Dr. Hill has several publications on cultural diversity and is Co-Investigator of a national Black and Latinx oral history project. Dr. Hill committed to seeking race and gender equity, challenging economic inequality, and promoting LGBTQ visibility. She has received copious awards and citations for community work and social justice advocacy.
