Kraig Pannell is the Director of the Office of LGBTQ Services for the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute. In this role, he is responsible for the development of goals, objectives and implementation plans for LGBTQ+ Health, the development of program policy and standards, data management and the development of initiatives to address the social determinants of health, health equity, and emerging needs impacting the LGBTQ+ communities in New York State. Kraig’s public health and health & human services experience includes the designing and implementation of HIV prevention programming and community led demonstration projects; community mobilization, statewide HIV prevention planning; LGBTQ+ healthcare, health equity, and HIV prevention research with an emphasis on BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+, and gay men/MSM. He is a graduate of Bucknell University and a Fellow of The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention / Association of Schools of Public Health Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership.
