Jose-Javier (JJ) Martinez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. JJ joined the AIDS Institute in 2019 and currently serves as the Associate Director of the Office of LGBTQ Services. For over nine9years, JJ has been working in the fields of LGBTQ health, HIV prevention, health education and contract management. JJ holds a bachelor's degree in microbiology and a master's degree in public health education from the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Puerto Rico.
