Antonio Ferrera is a New York City based artist and documentary filmmaker, whose films have been featured in museums around the country, including the National Gallery and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In 2008, Mr. Ferrara, won a Peabody Award for his film “The Gates” about the artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude's monumental installation in New York’s Central Park. Raised in upstate New York in the industrial town of Schenectady, Mr. Ferrara went on to attend New York University, studying English and American literature with minors in fine arts and philosophy. Mr. Ferrara also earned a graduate degree from Columbia College Chicago in art and filmmaking. While Mr. Ferrera has focused his career on documentary and fiction works, he has consistently created artwork independently as a way to express himself energetically, physically, and artistically.
