Syphilis and congenital syphilis rates are rising in New York State. The New York State Department of Health Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology and the Clinical Education Initiative Sexual Health Center of Excellence partnered to create the Congenital Syphilis Prevention Program (CSPP). The CSPP works to provide community providers and Health Department staff timely clinical guidance and support follow-up, for cases of syphilis during pregnancy to help prevent congenital syphilis in New York State.
