Charlene J. Ludlow, MHA, RN, CIC is the Chief Nursing Officer at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo NY. Prior to this position she served as the Chief Quality Officer for Great Lakes Health from 2017 to 2021. Other positions held in the past include Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer at ECMC. In her leadership role she leads a Nursing team of over 2200 staff members at a level one trauma center, transplant and behavioral health centers for excellence.

Her clinical background and expertise in Patient Safety, Quality Improvement and Infection Prevention has promoted improved quality of care, efficiency and staff engagement to promote fiscal responsibility for health care delivery.

Ludlow received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from D’Youville College and her Master of Healthcare Administration from Roberts Wesleyan College. She is also board certified in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
