Matthew Goodsell, MPH, (he/him/his) is a Communicable Disease Epidemiologist with the Preventive Division of the Oswego County Health Department. Matthew brought his previous professional and academic experience in psychology to his first role as a Health Educator in June 2022, leading the establishment of mental health and youth substance use prevention programming with the health department. Since moving to his new role and joining the New York State Public Health Corps Fellowship, Matthew’s projects have included: conducting data collection and analysis for the County’s Expedited Partner Therapy Program, reviewing the 2022-2023 flu season, and building out epidemiological surveillance and data collection practices.
