Elizabeth (Liz) Urbanski-Farrell, MBA, MS, is a Senior Public Health Fellow with the New York State Public Health Corps since July 2022. With significant professional experience and more than 15 years working in healthcare, Liz is a health policy and equity advocate who consistently works to improve healthcare access and operations. Ms. Urbanski-Farrell’s recent New York State Public Health Corps projects include editing, stakeholder communications and oversight of research, and drafting of the Erie County Community Health Assessment report; project management and implementation of a chronic disease intervention; and participation in the Erie County Gun Violence Prevention Task Force. Currently, Liz works with the Rural Outreach Center in East Aurora, leading a team of public health Graduate Fellows on survey project reporting and presentation development, and on agency project planning. She assists with administrative and grant funding projects. Liz is comfortable working with hospital administrators, department managers, and front-line staff, as well as healthcare legislators and regulators. For a dozen years, she served as Director of Member Services and Government Relations for a regional hospital industry, managing relationships with government healthcare regulatory agencies, elected officials, and numerous healthcare partner organizations. In 2019, Liz embarked on a dual master's degree program in Health Leadership, Research and Policy, and in 2021 was awarded her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Leadership from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Business at Cornell University, and Master of Science in Healthcare Policy and Research from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Liz holds several professional certificates in health and wellness, organizational management, and project management.
