Binta Ceesay, MPH, (she/her/hers) is the Senior Health Program Coordinator for the New York State Public Health Corps in the Southern Tier. Previously, Binta worked as a Women’s Care Counselor and facilitated a psychoeducational support group for women who have experienced trauma. She has also conducted HIV and STI testing. Binta has also worked as a Program Coordinator for the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program, and the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation at the State University of New York at New Paltz. As a Senior Health Program Coordinator at New York State Public Health Corps, her role involves assisting the fellowship placement coordinators in the implementation and planning of fellows in the Southern Tier. She is also part of various workgroups that help promote and enhance the New York State Public Health Corps program. Binta is excited to learn and gain new skill sets that she can use to help her community in the future. New York State Public Health Corps has a lot to offer, and she is proud to be a part of its mission.
