The University at Albany School of Public Health prepares students to help improve lives and protect the health of communities through education, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and research for disease and injury prevention. A unique partnership with the New York State Department of Health provides students the opportunity to help address public health problems as they occur. Students may earn an MPH, MS, PhD, or DrPH degree in biomedical sciences, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy and management, or behavioral sciences. We also offer a fully online MPH in public health practice, dual MPH/MSW, MSN, MD/MPH, JD/MPH degrees, and graduate certificates in public health, global health, health disparities, surveillance and preparedness, maternal and child health, HIV studies. We offer the most extensive practice-based public health internship program in the nation, providing in-depth training and resulting in a well-prepared graduate for the workforce.
