Living Independently is For Everyone (LIFE) at RCIL, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that operates as a designated Independent Living Center (ILC). We receive funding from federal, state, and local sources to support our mission of providing self-directed, consumer-controlled services that promote community inclusion and full participation. As an affiliate of RCIL, one of the largest FI service providers in New York state, serving 46 counties, our goal at LIFE is to ensure a fully accessible and integrated society where individuals with disabilities can actively participate. As part of RCIL, LIFE is responsible for engaging in systems advocacy. For the past 37 years, we have formed partnerships to empower people with disabilities and seniors to live independently and with dignity in their communities. At LIFE, we believe in creating a dynamic environment where both society and individuals benefit from a world without limitations. We are committed to making positive systemic changes through education, legislation, and providing full access, power, and self-determination to individuals with disabilities.
