Sara Rahim joined the SHRM Foundation in March 2025 as Thriving Together Portfolio Manager, bringing over a decade of experience across workforce development, workplace wellbeing, and bridge-building. In this role, she led efforts to equip HR professionals and employers with tools and strategies to build workplace cultures of care, including mental health, social drivers of health, and caregiving supports. She now manages the Foundation’s Skills First portfolio, promoting skills-first hiring and advancement practices that expand access to meaningful career opportunities. Prior to joining the team, Sara developed programs focused on building supportive workplace cultures and spearheaded workforce development initiatives engaging more than 50 nonprofits and social enterprises nationwide to strengthen employment and retention outcomes. Sara holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
