Christopher Joseph, LMSW/MPH, is the Executive Director of EngageWell IPA, a growing network of 21 health and human service organizations in New York City serving historically disenfranchised New Yorkers with chronic health and behavioral health conditions. EngageWell envisions an equitable and trauma-informed health care delivery system, rooted in harm reduction principles, that support both clients and communities in breaking the links between poverty, structural racism, and poor health. With over 15 years of experience in managing micro- and macro-level public health interventions, Mr. Joseph is overseeing the strategic implementation of “Care You Way,” EngageWell’s integrated model of care, enhanced with digital health technologies, to address health disparities, improve patient quality of life, and reduce avoidable healthcare spending.
