The Apicha Community Health Center (CHC) will present findings of its year-long research study to uncover and address the health and wellness needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) people in New York. Speakers will present syndemic results and concerns regarding party drugs and sexual health and hygiene among Asian and Pacific Islanders. As well as model strategies to address the rising use of drugs in the LGBTQ community, how to “play safe,” within the context of non-judgmental LGBTQ-sensitive and culturally competent care, and the often-overlooked needs of LGBTQ Asians, South Asians, Southeast Asians, and Pacific Islanders
