Amour Castillo (she/her) is a Project Manager at The Fortune Society, a community-based reentry organization that serves people with criminal and legal system involvement. In collaboration with Dr. Matthew Akiyama, she leads two studies including Dest2nation and Mitigation Through On-site Testing & Education Among Formerly Incarcerated Individuals Against Covid-19 (MOSAIC) researching the effectiveness of COVID-19 testing at a reentry community-based organization, such as Fortune, compared to being referred to offsite testing. In her PhD program in Critical Psychology at the City University of New York, she has collaborated on several studies with Dr. Brett Stoudt, including the Black Freedom Project and works with Communities United for Police Reform.
