Portia Wu is the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Labor, appointed by Governor Wes Moore. Wu has held numerous roles in the public and private sectors, including Managing Director of U.S. Public Policy for Microsoft, Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of Labor, Special Assistant to President Barack Obama and Labor Policy Director for the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy.
