Coordinated by a team of peer leaders from across New York State, drawing on a shared lived experience, the NY Statewide Peer Network provides a virtual, weekly forum as an avenue to connect, educate, and support those living with HIV and those offering services to improve the quality of care and service delivery to enhance lives. This workshop will offer an account of the Network and their NY Statewide Weekly Check In as it grew, adapted to the HIV/COVID-19 syndemic, and how it continues that evolution to provide a statewide consumer-focused connection, a recognized resource for educational opportunities, dissemination of information and HIV advocacy, and most importantly, a safe supportive space for people living with and affected by HIV to help alleviate stigma, isolation, and loneliness.
