Enhancing Epidemiological Surveillance by Streamlining Syndromic Data | Neha Gautam | Nassau County Department of Health explored if 2022 syndromic surveillance systems data for Respiratory and Fever emergency room visits detected increases in Influenza and COVID-19 cases. We also analyzed 2019 surveillance systems data for COVID-19 to see if pre-pandemic signals were recorded. We discovered that surveillance systems is a strong indicator of upcoming rises in disease, proving surveillance systems as a useful tool for local health departments. |

Williams, PhD | Our purpose is to highlight trends in the prevalence of Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder and Conduct Disorders between non-Hispanic White and non-Hispanic Black populations. Analysis of de-identified Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder and Conduct Disorders patient electronic health records on TriNetX showed race disparities between Black and White populations, and sex disparities within each population. |
